Last Saturday I gave my first Snohomish book (Showing Up For The Golden Years) presentation at  Uppercase Books and Collectables.  Great coffee, great people, great place to have a meeting of the minds.

I sometimes believe that life is one long string of transitions and changes that play havoc in our lives.  We often feel overwhelmed, scared and powerless. We get stuck in the monologues of denial.   But does it have to be that way?

Here are my two questions:

-           Is there a way we can look at these moments as the opportunities for growth that they are?

-          How can we use them to change our lives for the better?

When we flex that forward thinking muscle we begin a process of strengthening from the inside out. The ultimate stability we seek lives inside us. Every person has the freedom to choose between feeling victimized or empowered, at any time in life: at 23, 65 and at all the moments of choice along the way, man or woman, rich or poor.

The discussions that followed my presentation were so inspired and inspiring that it was decided to form a group to share and explore this process further.

We welcome people of all ages and both genders to share and explore with us.

Uppercase Books and Collectables, 611 2^nd street Snohomish will be the place to meet, most likely on a Saturday to avoid traffic issues.
