Don’t come late to your own parade

Make Snohomish your destination town this week. It all begins Thursday afternoon with the ever-growing Farmers Market. Saturday and Sunday will be the highlight days in a five-day community summer celebration with a parade, water games, four life music stages, all kinds of fun and delicious contests, and not to forget the Carnival at Harvey Field with all its attractions, including sky diving demonstrations and helicopter rides. The works!!  AAhhh!!  KlaHaYa days in Snohomish.

Antique dealers, arts and crafts people will cheer up the sidewalks of First Street, showing off their treasures and creations. Of course, Uppercase Books and Collectables will have a booth as well. This year the theme will be local authors. I am one of them and I will be around to talk with you about my book: Showing Up For The Golden Years, which, by the way, will be discounted from $ 15.- to $ 10.- to celebrate summer and you.

What a thoughtful gift to yourself, your friends, your Mom, or colleagues who find themselves in the magical stage called midlife.  “What to do? What is next? What do I want from the second half of life”? All fantastic questions that will need an answer in the years to come. Don’t come late to your own parade: flex your forward thinking muscle.
